Volleyball Tournament

Community Outreach Efforts
The Public Defender extends a helping hand in community outreach programs. Our recent efforts helped hundreds of community members close minor old matters that had been preventing them from obtaining employment, education and developing as productive citizens.

Chaffey Resolution
Chaffey Joint Union High School District Superintendent Matthew Holton presented a Certificate of Appreciation for the Public Defender's "commitment to the education of our students in the criminal justice system and their constitutional rights..."

Misdemeanor Trials Increased
Between fiscal years 2005-2006 and 2007-2008, the Department tripled the number of jury trials completed by our misdemeanor Deputy Public Defenders.

New Deputy Public Defenders New Deputy Public Defenders
On September 20, 2007, the largest training class graduated the New Deputy Training. These new, highly trained defenders eagerly began their courtroom duties on September 21, 2007.

On August 20, 2007, the Public Defender Administration office moved to the newly renovated County building at 303 West 3rd Street, San Bernardino.
