It’s Up to YOU…Stop the Spread of the H1N1 Flu
Get Vaccinated Now!!!


San Bernardino County Department of Public Health will be offering free H1N1 vaccinations at the first “At Your Service Community Resource Fair,” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, March 25 at Victoria Gardens, 12505 North Main Street, in Rancho Cucamonga.

Free H1N1 Vaccination Available Throughout the County

Free H1N1 flu clinics are being conducted in San Bernardino County in an effort to reach out to more local residents through schools, faith and community-based organizations. The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health officials urges residents who have not yet been vaccinated against the H1N1 virus to take advantage of the County’s free H1N1 vaccination campaign. Over 36,000 people die of flu related conditions every year in the United States. To reduce the spread of the H1N1 virus, get vaccinated now.

Now is a great opportunity to get the H1N1 Flu vaccine:
green bullet Everyone six (6) months of age and older are eligible for the H1N1 vaccine.
green bullet Children less than 10 years old need to get two doses of H1N1 vaccine approximately one month apart to maximize protection against the virus.

Community Based H1N1 Vaccination Clinics:

The Department of Public Health is partnering with the school districts, faith and community-based organizations to offer free H1N1 vaccinations to all County residents. Free vaccinations are available at the following sites:

H1N1 Influenza Facts:

green bullet Symptoms of H1N1 Influenza are similar to the common seasonal flu, including fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Vomiting and diarrhea have also have been reported among people who have H1N1 Influenza.
green bullet People with the H1N1 Influenza virus should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are symptomatic and possibly for up to seven (7) days following illness onset.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Hotline Update: (888) 865-0564
The CDPH recorded hotline has added H1N1 messages in multiple languages. The call center can answer questions in five languages in addition to English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Russian. The hotline operators are available, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
