Granville M. "Bow" Bowman is the Director of the Department. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of California, Nevada, and Arizona. Mr. Bowman is also a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the States of California and Nevada. He has more than 45 years of experience in the civil engineering and public works
fields encompassing both the private and public sectors. His employment history includes: Director of Public Works for Clark County, Nevada; the County of San Diego; the City of Oxnard, and served as Interim
Public Works Director for the City of Malibu. His private sector experience includes: Senior Vice President for Kercheval Engineers in San Diego, which included overseeing additional offices in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Birmingham.
Mr. Bowman has received numerous awards and recognition for his work, including NSPE Engineer of the Year in Nevada, APWA Public Works Man of the Year in Nevada, and APWA Top Ten Public Works Directors by the League of California Cities and NACO. Mr. Bowman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and his Masters degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University. |
