Mission Statement
The Land Use Services Department is dedicated
to ensuring a balance in the areas of housing, business, and recreational
needs for the diverse cultures and communities of San Bernardino County.
This is accomplished through
comprehensive regional planning and enforcement of building standards, land
uses, and environmental impacts.

The Land Use Services Department provides
land use planning, building and safety, and code enforcement services to property owners
within the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. The Department also
performs weed abatement activities on behalf of fire districts throughout San Bernardino
County.
The Department has two full service offices located in San
Bernardino and Victorville. In addition, the Building and Safety Division of the
Department staffs regional offices in Barstow, Twin Peaks, Yucca Valley and Big
Bear. Code Enforcement staff are available on a part time basis at the Yucca Valley
