Adults and seniors! Join us for a viewing of a select  eco-friendly feature film or documentary on the Last Monday of each month at 1:00pm!


Friends Bag of Books Sale

Join us on the first Wednesday of the month, 10am-3pm, for our monthly bag of books sale. Fill a bag with books from our bookstore or on display on the tables and pay only $3.00

**Friends Members pay only $2.00 per bag...ask how you can become a member!

Shhhhhhhhhh!!! Silent Auction

Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Silent Auction in progress. The Highland Friends of the Library are holding a continuous silent auction. Discover what literary treasures are being auctioned off at the 'auction table' located near the Adult Reference desk. Feel free to place a bid or two.

Book Worm Babies

Mondays at 10:30am

For babies 3 months to 12 months and their parents/ caregivers. Grow, read, and learn together in a friendly, playful environment.


Early Learning Play Time

Saturdays from 2:00-4:00pm

This free play time is for children 0-5 years old. Come explore and learn together as you play with new friends.

This program is held in the program room of the Discovery Zone Children's Library.


Family Storytime

Thursdays at 10:30am

Every Thursday morning, bring your children to the library to experience new themes through stories, songs, and crafts.


Sit, Stay, Read

Improve your reading skills and have a lot of fun, too! For children ages 5 and up. Read to a patient, lovable therapy dog from Heavenly Healing Paws right here in the library. Parents need to stay with their kids for this event.Third Saturday of the month from 3-4 pm
