The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors considered First 5 San Bernardino when they adopted the 2010 State and Federal Legislative Platforms. As stated in the platform, the Board of Supervisors “oppose legislation that would eliminate First 5 San Bernardino and/or compromise local control over Proposition 10 money.”

n an effort to present to the community the necessity of our County programs for children under
the age of 5, First 5 San Bernardino will address the public in a “State of First 5 San Bernardino”
address on Thursday, January 7. Executive Director of First 5 San Bernardino, Karen Scott will
speak of how First 5 San Bernardino benefits the communities within San Bernardino County, the
future of First 5 San Bernardino and the responsibility of investing taxpayer dollars into
organizations who service specifically children ages 0-5.
