| Grand Terrace
The city of Grand Terrace , which has a population of approximately 14,000, is known for its hospitality and its community-oriented residents. Since 1978, it has continued to be one of the lowest crime areas among San Bernardino Sheriff's Department jurisdictions.
The Highlands apartment complex is one of the largest multi-family residential communities in Grand Terrace. The management team and residents meet with Sheriff's staff bi-monthly to ensure that the complex remains crime-free. The residents are well informed about how to better protect themselves and their property. Additionally, four other apartment complexes are enrolled in the Crime-Free Multi-Housing program within Grand Terrace. This program, in conjunction with our Citizen Patrol Unit, Neighborhood Watch, and community teaching, has proven invaluable in our enforcement efforts. Citizen Patrol recently added five new members increasing this volunteer unit to a total of 18 members.
The Grand Terrace Days Parade and Faire, Halloween Hunt, Cyber Safety Classes, Bully's at School and Drug Recognition For Middle School Parents, Students and Teaches, continue to be hosted by the city and coordinated by the Sheriff's Department Community Services Officer to further our partnership with the community.
We are confident that with the continued support and involvement of the residents, Grand Terrace will remain one of the safest cities of San Bernardino County.
