Dive Rescue Team

The Sheriff's Dive Rescue Team has evolved over the years from a small group of deputies trained in sport diving to a highly trained team of professional Public Safety Dives. Due to the high level of training and advanced diving equipment, the Dive Rescue Team has been called on for Mutual Aid support throughout the State of California. The Team has been recognized as a leader in the Public Safety Diving field, and serves as a model for agencies throughout the country.

The team regularly assists in search and recovery operations from Catalina Island to Shasta County and has been called to assist in dive operations with the FBI. The team works regularly with the Homicide Division to locate evidence and murder victims in all bodies of water around the county.
