General Meeting Minutes

Committee Updates: 

It was announced that we are looking for volunteers to be on the various committees and updates on these committees will be announced at the next meeting.

Board Positions:  Position for Membership VP is open

Speakers:

Bruce Steele and Ann O’Dell from CIGNA discussed the various programs available to county employees that we can obtain by phone, online, and/or clinical services.  They handed out various flyer and information on these topics along with exercises we can do at our desks to relieve tension and stress.

Deidre Rodriguez from SPBEA shared information on the contract negotiations and the floor was open to any questions from the floor i.e. barging committees, hiring new employees, budget, and other issues in the various offices. 

Susan Taylor, Ed Rowe, and Rebecca Stafford from the Children’s Fund discussed the Campaign on Child Abuse Prevention, Rubber Duck race, Fire Disaster Relief, Family Preservation, and other informative information in reference to the Children’s Fund and its contributions to the county.

Robert Jenkins from PERC shared with us the items that are available through PERC.  i.e. workshops on professional growth & development; technology & computer training; Job safety & wellness training; maintaining a respectful workplace; managing/supervisory programs; job skills development; and other PERC services.
