BEVERAGE CONTAINER

RECYCLING PROGRAM

To assist the County and meet State mandated waste reduction and recycling requirements the Solid Waste Management Division (SWMD) is assisting schools and non-profit organizations to establish new and/or expand existing programs with mini-beverage container recycling.  With funds received from the California Department of Conservation/Division of Recycling www.consrv.ca.gov/DOR/grants SWMD purchased recycling bins, signs, liners, promotional flyers and items.

To date, SWMD has successfully established 31 beverage container recycling programs
